Kathak for Beginners (Level 2) is the next step after completing the foundation level of Kathak. This course includes detailed video lessons that help learners deepen their understanding of classical technique, rhythm, and expressive performance. Designed for students who already know the basics, this level focuses on improving posture, footwork, speed, spins, abhinaya (expressions), and introduces you to new taals and structured choreographies that can be practiced and performed.
Curated and taught by Guru Smt. Jigna Mehta, the course follows a step-by-step method, ensuring that students learn in a structured and progressive way. Once enrolled, you will receive immediate access to all lessons, practice material, and downloadable resources. The course includes 3 downloadable files, along with audio tracks for all performance segments, giving you the option to switch between video and audio-only mode during practice. Just like Level 1, this course is fully self-paced, allowing you to learn anytime and from anywhere in the world.
The course is taught in Hindi, and comes with English subtitles, making it easily accessible for global learners. Additionally, students can participate in monthly live sessions, where they can ask questions and get guidance directly from the instructor.
After completing the course and the required assessments, you can move forward to the Advanced Kathak (Level 3) course and continue your certified Kathak journey with confidence and expertise.
